What Happens when you put a bunch of bodacious California babes behind the wheel of a busy carwash? Jack McGowan's about to get the wild and wacky answer! When the naive midwesterner comes to L.A. to run his ailing uncle's carwash he makes a few wrong turns and ends up at the beach. He is rescued by a foxy business major, Melissa Reese, who convinces Jack to let her run the business for a cut of the action. Things get hilariously out of hand as Melissa and her bubbly friends “dress for success” in the skimpiest of bikinis - or nothing at all!

Kristi Ducati (Melissa), Neriah Napaul aka Davis (Rita), Sara Suzanne Brown (Sunny), Rikki Brando (Amy) & Brook Lynn Page (Tammy Joe) are the female leads. Interestingly enough they all represent archetype females. Not only in character & personality, but in appearance.

Melissa: is the dangerously street-smart business type and the buxom, curvaceous brunette.

Rita: is the typical bubbly dumb blond personality with a curvaceous yet petite build.

Sunny: is the common sense no-bullshit girl-next-door/future housewife type and the curvaceous, buxom blond.

Amy: is the book-smart lawyer type coupled with a bit of girl-next-door/plain jane, with a less well endowed build.

Tammy Joe: is the artistic type/every girl and her appearance/build I would consider to be the middle of the road when compared to the extremes of the others.

Yes they all show plenty of skin except for Tammy Joe who remains “in bikini” for the duration. The remainder of the ladies in the cast all appear topless at some point.

What else can I say about this movie that hasn't been said by many others. The synopsis from the cover pretty much sums it up. Except that, this is the classic example of the late 80's/early 90's T&A movie. This movie sets the standard of the genre in my honest opinion. I recall another review where this was referred to as 'the “Citizen Kane” of T&A movies'. With that I entirely agree.

The plot is thin. The acting is sub par at best. The women are hot. Really hot. The bikinis are small. There's plenty of jiggling, bikinis optional. Water and soapsuds are in an overabundance. The soundtrack harkens back to the days of KROQ circa 1989. …Perfection.

On to the DVD itself. First and most importantly the transfer leaves much to be desired. It is miles ahead of any VHS copy or rip found elsewhere. But when compared to even a passable transfer of a major Hollywood release it falls short.

The DVD includes the original trailer for the film as well as cast bios for the major stars.

This is a damn hard title to obtain. Sellers on Amazon and eBay are charging stupid money for copies. Let me save you the trouble right now: don't even think about buying one. You see: the film exists in a cut and an uncut version. The US DVD release is the cut version and is long out of print. That's the bad news.

The good news is that there is a Region 2/Pal version that exists and it is the uncut version. It is still available, from time to time, from Amazon.co.uk (and possibly other European retailers) for a reasonable price of about $10. The bad news: this transfer is not up to standards either and may even be a tad below that of the US transfer. Hard to tell. Regardless it is still miles ahead in terms of quality than a VHS or VHSRip.

*This title has/had gone back into a limited printing. If you check Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk or even eBay you may find one. Look for an auction that says “all region import” on eBay. Prices are still all over the place but you can find a deal if you are patient.*

Interestingly enough the UK version has Polish subtitles which can be turned off.

If you look go looking for the UK release you may find 2 versions with different release dates. Both are the same, right down to the hash-check.

The uncut version is missing the following:
Most of the sex scenes are either heavily edited or removed all together in the case of one scene in particular.

Female full frontal nudity shots are edited out completely.

In total the edited version is short by about 5-8 minutes.

I suppose if I was prodded I'd even edit this and add the ASIN & EAN/UPC numbers so you can get your very own copy.
