BLOOD BRIDE

TV or not TV? that is the question. Here's a movie with blood in the title and none in the actual film. Duuuuuuh. A trendy, happy gal (Ellen Barber) is hassled by her personable, gray father to get married to basically anyone male and upright and able to breath without mechanical assistance. Enter onto the scene the male lead Philip English, a schizo/rich-guy with more complexes than a real estate agent. He asks happy gal Ellen to dinner and pretty soon everyone’s looking forward to the big romantic wedding. I, on the other hand was looking forward to a messy power tool murder and probably a light strangling but alas, poor lame script, there was none. There is, however a hooker dressed as a nun getting killed, some huge late era 70's sweaters, amazingly bad haircuts, wobbly flashbacks, semi-moralistic overtones, ‘parp-parp’ music and sod all else. Slow, barely cheezy, stingy with the real sleaze and far from too enjoyable, think of it as an alternative to that 2nd lobotomy you were planning.
