Automatic Safe List
To simplify things a little, this is a list of actors and directors whose prescence on a film automatically renders it safe, unless it breaks the 12-month rule.
Names can be on the list with one named exception - any more than one good movie with this person chiefly involved with it means they shouldn't be on here. TV series etc. do not count towards this number as they're unsafe regardless.
In the case of actors, they must have had a starring role in the film for it to be auto-safe - likewise, if they have had cameos or bit parts in some good movies (e.g. Bruce Campbell cameos in spiderman), they can still go on the list.

I just ran down their IMDB lists, and neither has been in more than one decent movie. The listed exceptions are also arguable.
I’m particularly a fan of Treat Williams’ endless sequels to “The Substitute”, and LDP’s endless bad southwest horror (ala Dusk To Dawn, but shitty) at this point those two almost constitute their own genres.
Plus, how can you not love a guy born at Subic Bay? LDP’s whole life has been B-movie.

Ryan: If an actor or director has more than 2 unsafe movies on his resume he can't be considered for our autosafe list. In the case of Peter Jackson that's obvious (lotr, king kong) and Bruce Campbell did the Evil Dead series which are unsafe because of their cult status.
How about Lorenzo Lamas?
I'd also like to nominate Cuneyt Arkin. As a man responsible in part for classics like Turkish Star Wars, Turkish First Blood, Death Warrior, Lionman, and countless other pieces of trash he probably deserves his own project. He's the Godfrey Ho of Turkey.
I'd suggest Ron Ormond, Yasuharu Hasebe, HG Lewis and Andy Milligan too.
What about non-Star Trek William Shatner movies?
I was thinking about suggesting an Alan Smithee project, but wanted to see if that name could be added to the Safe List first.
