<title>Adrenaline [Other] [1990/DVDRIP/DiVX] (Comedy)</title>
<description>Synopsis: This French-made anthology weaves 13 different supernatural tales made by seven different directors. The main focus of each story, however, is an object that possesses supernatural powers. ~ Brian Gusse, All Movie Guide

&quot;Adrenaline&quot; proposes a string of short surrealist films presenting at various levels an interesting mix of mild gore, cynical humor and absurd. A deeper treatment of the different themes approached (predestination, suffering for art, tv interactivity, obsession, and so on) would have been appreciated, but this can be a difficult task in regard of the formula adopted here (and possibly because of budgetary constraints) by the various directors

<title>The Wandering Swordsman [SB Project] [Hong Kong] [1970/DVDRIP/XViD] (Martial Arts)</title>
<description>

A young hero known only as the Wandering Swordsman (David Chiang) travels the land dealing out his own brand of justice – which usually means robbing from the robbers and giving the proceeds to the less fortunate. He encounters Siao Ning Ji (Lily Li) who is escorting treasure on behalf of the Security Bureau. The Wandering Swordsman is deceived into thinking that Kung Wu (AKA “Fail-Safe”) and his gang of bandits are actually on the side of righteousness and helps in their plan to steal a horde of valuable treasure. When he learns that he’s been duped, he must seek his own redemption and recover the treasure.

First of all, a warning. If you’re turned off by wireworks on a large scale, avoid this film at all cost, as it is rather reliant on the technique. Still with me? Good…

WANDERING SWORDSMAN is quite unique in that it doesn’t feature Ti Lung at all. Not even a cameo. Perhaps he was on holiday, but knowing the Shaw Brothers treadmill he was probably off somewhere else shooting another film while this was made! Instead, we have Lily Li as co-star and the teaming isn’t as bad as you might imagine. I’ve often voiced the opinion that Chang Cheh couldn’t really direct women very well, but at least in this he didn’t try too hard in forcing some kind of romantic relationship between the two leads. It IS there, but beneath the surface - implicit rather than explicit. Thankfully, there are no tacky love scenes to slow things down.

The film remains a bit of a wasted opportunity however. Although the story and characters are strong, the whole Wuxia angle never really lights up the screen like you would expect, and sometimes feels a bit of a damp squib. That said, there are flashes of greatness and one great special effect when Chiang bursts through an inn roof. The finale also has some stirring moments. I don’t think it would be giving too much away to reveal that the Wandering Swordsman is a doomed character, but his swansong is at least uplifting and his attempt at redemption heroic. Nice theme tune, too.

There’s a few early appearances by actors who would become Hong Kong regulars, such as Wu Ma (who sports a very unconvincing beard), a very young Yuen Shun-Yi (who would specialise in playing complete nut-bars in classics such as DREADNAUGHT and DRUNKEN TAI CHI), Yuen Woo-Ping’s brother Yuen Cheung-Yan, and of course everyone’s favourite bad guy Yeung Tze (AKA Bolo Yeung).

David Chiang indulges in a fair bit of horseplay in this one, verbally sparring with his foes. While the effect isn’t likely to get you rolling with laughter in your seat, it is nevertheless a change from the usually staid lead characters usually served by Chang. If only we had a bit more “oomph” in the swordplay we could have had a bone-fide classic on our hands.

<title>Jean Rollin (Music by Philippe D'Aram and Ars Antigua)-Les Deux Orphelines Vampires/Two Orphan Vampires [France] [1997/CD Audio/MP3] (OST)</title>
<description>

Some more Rollin, seeing how well the first collection went, let's see with this one...This is from the 1997 film Les Deux Orphelines Vampires (Two Orphan Vampires), the music is credited to Philippe D'Aram and Ars Antigua.

The soundtrack was originally put out by Crippled Dick How Wax!, and was only available with the Peter Blumenstock book Virgins &amp; Vampires. It was later a bonus feature on the DVD put out by Shriek Show, which is where this rip comes from...I've also included an EXTRA SURPRISE for all of you included in the file,in appreciation of everything really,i make you happy and you make me by downloading them and sending cigars, but most importantly enjoying them yourselves,is my main essential purpose...Enjoy!</description>

First of a long serie of movies I brought back from my long trip in South-East Asia. Almost all of them are VCD without subs unfortunately, and I doubt that they'll ever release them on DVDs cause they are not popular in Indonesia anymore. But rejoice cause that's probably the only way you can actually see these movies.

The green line doesn't show on the video, it's an artefact created by VLC when making the snapshots.

<title>Fire and Ice - Weird Action/Adventure/Romance Skiing Movie [1986/VHSRIP/XViD] (Other)</title>
<description>

FIRE AND ICE!! Yeah. This is basically a bunch of videos of people skiing set to epic 80s music that are loosely connected by a confusing and badly narrated, badly dubbed action/adventure/romance story – like they needed a narrative excuse to string together some creative skiing videos. They basically built an entire movie around it - with some pretty good shots of people skiing, mind you - and PAINFULLY bad shots of people acting. FIRE AND ICE!! The skiing parts are interesting to see because they are just surreal and awkward, but the most entertaining parts of the film are the story scenes between because they are just... Words cannot describe how cheesy and weird this movie is. I feel like I took 5 hits of strong blotter and then put on a a pair of magic 80s sunglasses which make you see everything around you in relation to the sport of skiing. FIRE AND ICE!! In other words, THIS IS A KEEPER!

I'd give you a proper synopsis from another source, but I can't find one. And honestly, with something like this, does the story even matter? Either way, I'll give it a shot. As far as I can tell from watching, some dude falls in love with some chick. He can't ski, she can. He learns how and then has to hitchhike to Aspen to find her and profess his love – or something to that effect. But he starts to hullucinate or “fantasize” as they call it in the movie, and everything he sees around him along the way he relates to skiing and thus &quot;imagines&quot; these weird skiing montages.

I don't know man. It's just fucking weird and funny. See for yourself.

<title>We Jam Econo: The Story of the Minutemen [2005/DVDRIP/XViD] (Documentary)</title>
<description>

Enjoy, CG-ers. Tim Irwin's 2005 doc on Pedro's finest.

Back of the box lays it out:

&quot;WE JAM ECONO - THE STORY OF THE MINUTEMEN is the acclaimed documentary on the too-brief life of one of the most revered, intriguing and inspired American bands ever. Childhood friends Mike Watt and D. Boon combined unbridled creativity and point-blank politics to make groundbreaking music that refused to be categorized as Punk. The film weaves together personal tales from Watt and drummer George Hurley with archival interview footage of the band and rare live performances. New interviews with over 50 musicians, artists and friends help tell the Minutemen story, from their humble beginnings in the harbor town of San Pedro, California, to the tragic 1985 death of D. Boon in a highway accident in the Arizona desert.&quot;

Fans of and newcomers to the band's music should love this. English language, no subs.

<title>ghosts on the underground [UK] [2002/TVRIP/MPEG] (Documentary)</title>
<description>Why is it that people get creeped out by tunnels? Is it the darkness, a sense of claustrophobia, fear of what might be lurking in its passages – or can we sense something ghostly? Last Hallowe’en, British TV network Five aired Ghosts on the Underground, which delved into what could be the most haunted tunnels of all – the tube, a massive subway network that extends to all ends of metropolitan London, carrying with it one billion passengers in the past year, according to Transport For London.

The 47-minute documentary is not only an excellent series of anecdotes by the staff and passengers of the London Underground on their inexplicable experiences over the past several decades, it also give a stunning tour of the stations, pedestrian passageways, foyers and trains of the commuter train system. Many of the visuals are outright futuristic: brightly-lit, colourful, curving spaces void of humans during the wee hours when the tube is closed, bringing a haunting sense of wonder to places usually tightly packed with commuters.

This is in many ways a documentary that, aside from its high-tech cinematography, has the feel of many classic collections of real-life ghostly anecdotes and gives the viewer the sense of what it is actually like to encounter a ghost without the over-the-top drama usually found in films on this topic. So it is not surprising that the documentary sticks to traditional anecdotal conventions by considering the accidental deaths and suicides that have befallen the London Underground in context of the ghost stories – this may or may not be connected to the strange experiences people have had, but it is always interesting to consider the possibilities.

<title>RFK Must Die: The Assassination of Bobby Kennedy [UK] [2007/DVDRIP/XViD] (Documentary)</title>
<description>[b]

After all these years, you would think that someone would have noticed these things... and done something about them. --CIA operative David Rabern

On June 5, 1968, shortly after winning the hotly-contested California primary, Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy was slain in the pantry of the Los Angeles Ambassador hotel. Charged with the assassination is Sirhan Sirhan, a 24 year-old Palestinian whose notebooks repeatedly declare RFK MUST DIE! Though Sirhan Sirhan was arrested, tried, and convicted for the RFK killing and is now serving a life sentence for murder, he still maintains that he has no recollection of the shooting and his easy susceptibility to hypnosis has led to speculation that he may have been a programmed &quot;Manchurian Candidate&quot;.

Additionally, other tantalizing facts have emerged that raise questions as to whether or not others may have been involved in the shooting. Seven bullets were removed from bodies, an eighth bullet was traced through two ceilings, and two more bullets (labeled as such on FBI photographs) were identified as lodged in the door frame of the pantry by both LAPD and FBI personnel, yet Sirhan's gun could hold only eight bullets.

Astonishingly, these door frames and ceiling tiles containing bullet holes were destroyed by the LAPD shortly before the trial of Sirhan Sirhan along with 2,410 photographs taken during the investigation. This information is doubly disturbing fact in light of the subsequent coroners report that declared that all three of the bullets striking Kennedy entered from the rear and no more than one to three inches from Kennedy's ear (Sirhan was estimated to be between three to six feet in front of the Senator).

While Sirhan Sirhan recants his confession, investigatory oversights leave many questions unanswered:

Why was RFK rerouted from his original destination in the hotel straight into the path of an assassin s bullet?
Who was the girl in the polka dot dress seen fleeing the hotel screaming We shot him, we shot him ?
Why was there a CIA presence at the hotel that night?
Why were additional bullets recovered but never entered into evidence?

Writer-director Shane O Sullivan, highly skeptical of the official report, conducted his own exhaustive investigation.
